Sustainability

Seasonality is the practice of designing flowers and foliage that naturally grow at a particular time of year, in the local climate, rather than relying on flowers imported from abroad or grown out of season under artificial conditions.

Locally grown blooms are also fresher, longer-lasting, and naturally suited to the time of year, helping your floral design feel authentic while being kinder to the environment.

Wherever possible, we work with local British growers, choosing flowers grown in harmony with the seasons rather than imported blooms or ones forced to grow through in artificial conditions.

Wherever possible, we prioritise locally grown, seasonal blooms to reduce environmental impact and support British growers. Occasionally, imported flowers may be used to fulfil a specific request, but only when truly necessary and always chosen carefully from growers who follow ethical and sustainable practices. Even then, we work thoughtfully to use them sparingly, combining them with seasonal, local flowers to create designs that are beautiful, meaningful, and sustainability-led.

Floral foam is widely used in our industry to support and hydrate flower arrangements but it is a non-biodegradable, single-use plastic that breaks into toxic microplastics which harms the environment and wildlife.

May & June is completely foam-free. We use alternative mechanics that are kinder to the environment and equally supportive for fresh flowers.

Yes. We use biodegradable, recyclable, and reusable materials wherever possible, including natural twine, uncoated wire and vessels that can be used again.

Weddings

Yes, this is our favourite type of booking. Bespoke floral stories, thoughtfully designed around the couple, the season, and the atmosphere of the day.

We recommend enquiring as soon as your date and venue are confirmed. Peak season dates often book well in advance.

Absolutely. Inspiration images are a helpful starting point, allowing us to understand the style and feeling you’re drawn to. From there, we interpret your ideas through a seasonal lens, curating flowers that are naturally at their best at the time of your wedding.

We don’t have a  minimum spend. What matters most to us is that flowers are a meaningful part of your wedding day – something you truly value, rather than an afterthought. This shared appreciation allows us to design with intention and create florals that feel considered and personal.

You’re welcome to share favourites, though availability will depend on the season. We’ll always guide you toward the most beautiful alternatives if needed.

Yes, we’re happy to travel throughout the UK. Any travel or accommodation costs will be clearly outlined in your proposal if applicable. In line with our sustainability values, we don’t currently take on destination weddings, allowing us to focus on local, season-led celebrations.

To reserve your wedding date, a 50% deposit is required, with the remaining balance due six weeks before your wedding day.

Farewells

Yes. Every farewell design is a unique, one-off creation, thoughtfully composed to honour the person being remembered, the season, and the tone of the service. In fact, we do not offer “off-the-shelf” tributes.

You are very welcome to share any flowers or colours that feel meaningful. As a sustainability-led florist, we prioritise locally grown blooms, so availability will depend on the season. We’ll gently guide you toward the most beautiful alternatives where needed.

You can lean on us. May & June’s role is to create flowers that resonate deeply. Together, we’ll talk through your wishes, the flowers you’re drawn to, and the atmosphere you wish to create. The result is floral design that moves beyond what is seen – it is felt.
